Convicted Sex Offender Pleads Guilty in Fannin
District Attorney Joe Hendricks announced that Kenny Harold Presley, of Mineral Bluff, pleaded guilty to two counts of Child Molestation on Thursday, February 9, 2012. Presley's trial was scheduled to begin on February 13. Presley, indicted by the November Term 2008 Grand Jury, was already serving time in the State prison system on a previous child molestation case. Prior to his parole date of May 2012, ADA Jodi Spiegel brought Presley back to Fannin County to answer to these pending child molestation charges. The Honorable Judge Roger E. Bradley sentenced Presley to 20 years of which he will serve five more years in the State prison system, 15 years on probation, general, special and sex offender conditions of probation. Presley is to have no contact with the victim and was banished from Fannin County. He is required to register with the Sex Offender Registry for life. The victim in this case worked closely with the District Attorney's Office in bringing Presley to justice for the crimes he committed. She gave a heart-filled victim impact statement at his sentencing hearing and indicated that she pleased with the outcome of the case.
